School Age Childcare Director
The Brandywine YMCA has an exciting leadership opportunity for a, full-time, School Age Child Care (SACC) Director.
Bachelor's Degree in education or education related field or human services, required. Two years of direct supervisory experience required. Experience in child care administration or child/youth programming preferred. Experience working with Keystone STARS and progressing through the Keystone STARS levels preferred. Other qualifications include strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication.
The SACC Director also has direct supervision of the Power Scholars/City Camp and Believe & Achieve program. This full-time, exempt, position will supervise coordinators and part-time staff. The School Age Child Care Director is required to complete annual Keystone STARS training and comply with the branch’s STAR level requirements. The School Age Child Care Director will provide staff leadership and supervision and enhance youth development in the School Age Childcare program. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all Department of Human Services regulations, curriculum design and budget management. The SACC Director will also perform other duties, as necessary. As a member of the branch leadership team, the SACC Director serves as evening/weekend Director on Duty on a rotating basis.

Utilizes non-threatening methods to address sensitive issues and inappropriate behavior or performance. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-todate knowledge and skills in technology.
